 4210 MMM

Bought a new 4210 wih 60 inch 7-Iron MMM and FEL with R4 tires. The mower will only raise to a maximum height of 2.5 inches to remain level. JD has been dragging their feet since day 1. Dealer is lost and has no answer. 1 size larger tires will only give me 1 inch. Anything larger will impact the wheels of the MMM. Anyone have an inside scoop? I am thinking 4310 with the longer frame is needed here.

My understanding was that the 4210/4310/4410 share the same
frame

 4210 MMM

I have a 4310 with 60" MMM and R3 tires. My mower doesn't seem to raise very high as well. There is a stop on the MMM that looks to contact the 4310 at it's highest point. Mine comes up short of contacting it by about an inch. The deck lifts by the two rear hanging arms. My thoughts are to shorten these so the deck just contacts the stop. I would then need to adjust the front draft arms to level the deck. This might give me a bit more height?

Craig

If you dealer did not give you an owner's manual with the mmm, he should have. Make him give you one FREE. The owners manual covers adjustment and leveling of the mmmm. It is a pain in the butt however, pretty straight forward. Mine was really low when I first got mine but purchased a leveling gauge at the Deere dealer and raised the rear clevis mounts as high as they would go and leveled the front of the mower by adjusting the draft arms (shortening their length). I was able to set mine to cut at about 4 - 5 inches. Try this and see how it shakes out.
