 John Deere 4600 hydro problems

I bought a 4600 hydro new last year and keep getting the same problem. In B or C gear, the tractor bogs down, like its pulling a 50,000 lb. sled, regardless of the throttle position. My dealer replaced the transmition and now it's happening again. If anyone has any info please help.
thanks

Be sure to check that the brakes aren't dragging. If you put the range lever in neutral, the tractor should roll freely by hand. Be sure to try this on a level area.

 John Deere 4600 hydro problems

twest:
I had the same problem with my 4700. Had the unit checked over by the dealer w/o finding anything wrong. They oiled all the linkages, etc. Haven't had the problem again. But i'm still perplexed by the grabbing, because i recall checking everything when it happened -- brakes, tranny, etc, and nothing seemed to be sticking.

I had the same problem when pulling a disc through the mud and was using the brakes heavily to keep it straight. Dealer picked up the tractor but they found one brake dragging slightly. They left it overnight and could not find any problems the next day. No reoccurences as of yet, and that was more than a 100 hours ago.

Yep, it's most likely a brake draggin. There's one thing the 46x0 has, darn good brakes. You could jack the rear up, put the range selector in nuetral and see if you can turn both back wheels?

Ive had this same problem, replaced the fuel and air filter (need that bad) and it was quite a bit better, but usuall in C range it will bog down bad sometimes, especially when going up a hill, I have a loader and backhoe on it to. Its a hydro trans. also. I still dont know what it is, I will check the brakes though.

I have a 4400 and I have a 4 in 1 loader and I was having a similar problem and I come to find out,I had pulled the lever back too far that opens and shuts the 4 in 1 bucket,it was overworking the hydraulics and robbing my power elsewhere.
