First use of front mounted snowblower...

Well, my 4410 is back from the dealership, with a new controller (So far, so good...) and a with a pair of forward mounted work lights on the ROPS (the snowblower blocked most of the light from the headlights). And, I finally got to try it out the other day with 8" of heavy/wet snow. All I can say is that it worked great!!!
With a 600 ft driveway, on an incline, and previously only using a plow on my 4-wheeler (it would have been very difficult with this snow) and a walk-behind snowblower, I was very glad that I got this implement for the tractor. Not only did it chew through the snow with no problem, but it threw it much further than my walk-behind could ever do. Plus, I did the driveway in only a fraction of the time.
Now, I can't wait 'til next summer to use the front end loader!! Smile

- Tim

It seems like everything is working, and that's good.

You might find that blowing at night in the wind could cause the ROPS lights to illuminate the flume coming out the chute more than the drive. I have several sections that go between parking areas and buildings so I have to blow straight away from the tractor. My ROPS light would definitely light up my snow geyser. Maybe I could close the chute cap more to keep the flume below the ROPS light, but a closed chute clogs more easily.

Some people have mounted a light on the front corner of their blowers so the light is ahead of and underneath the flume. I bought a light for that purpose but I've never had to blow at night so the light is still in its box.
