I've decided to look for a John Deere 1050 4WD w/loader as the most affordable, quality small loader for the price. The specs on a 950 and 1050 are similar, except that the 1050 is 900 pounds heavier, and adds a turbo to the 3 cylinder. I found this at tractortips.com. Where's the beef? Is the transmission and clutch a lot heavier?

The 1050 is a lot larger tractor over all. The whole frame etc are much larger and different than the 950. ....

EBTEX,
The 1050 is quite larger then the 950 henceforth more weight. I liked the look of the 1050 but what I found used didnt justify buying compared to new. Good luck in your search. ....
