 John Deere 750 information needed

I need some information on the following tractor. John Deere 750. Product ID# CH0750S006563. What year model is this tractor? What horsepower? Does it have power steering? I have found one in average condition, like new turf tires and 759 hrs. Any idea of the value of the tractor? For those of you that are familiar with this tractor, what are the good and bad points of the tractor? I would appreciate any help that you can give me. Thanks in advance.
JRF

If that is the serial # the tractor is a 83. The tractor is 19 HP and 17-15 HP PTO depending on the info source. I assume that the tractor is 2 wheel drive and not FEL. The book value on the machine is approximately 4K, according to machinery link.
The two main problems I had with the machine were the dry brakes which if used for loading wear quickly and the main battery ground which runs to the bottom lower front corner of the tractor and is difficult to keep from corroding. It will act like a bad battery but it is just the bad ground.

I have an '88 JD750. Power steering was available but it's a bit klunky, consisting of a ram and hoses that hang out where they'll get pranged if you get into any brush.

Mine is MFWD (4 wheel drive) and I'd never have one without it. The tractor is pretty light, and runs out of traction before it runs out of power.

That being said, I bought mine new, and I've had absolutely ZERO complaints with it. The original battery lasted 10 years with no problems. When it finally died and I replaced it with a NAPA battery, the corrosion problem that was mentioned showed up, and I stripped, rust-proofed and repainted the affected area, and it seems to be fine now.

I did a lot of bush hogging with the tractor, and bent the heck out of the tie rod by straddling stumps several times. I finally got tired of straightening/replacing the tie rod, and build a skid plate under the front differential.

It's a hard-working, dependable, fuel efficient little tractor, and will do an amazing amount of work if you go about it right.

Relatively the weight of the 750 is ~ 20% greater than most machines of similar HP sold today. I had the back tires filled and even with turf tires never really felt I needed much more traction.
The 790 is basicly the same transfer case etc in the much larger HP tractor.
