 4300 and 72''mmm - power

Does a 4300HST have enough power to run a 72'' mmm in tall grass and up slopes?
Thanks

 4300 and 72''mmm - power

I have a 4300 and a 72"mmm. It works just fine. In heavy grass it can bog down a bit. I either take a smaller cut [cut only 2/3 the width of the deck] or raise the deck a bit and then take a second pass. Wet grass will slow it down more than deep grass.
Going up hill with the mower going through heavy grass, the tractor slows. I ease up on the hydro and go the rest of the way up the hill OK.
It does not cut as well as a bush hog in really deep grass [like 6' tall big blue stem], thistle or burdock. They tend to bend over and the blades are past before it pops up again.

 4300 and 72''mmm - power

Hi thanks for the info, if any one else out there has experience with this combo please share. The reason I am asking is I just bought this 4300 and I havnt got it from the dealer yet, but what I have heard is that the 4000 series does not seam to have as much power as the older 55 series which 855/72" mmm is what I am replacing. I am I going to be happy with this tractor compaired with my 855? On the plus side the 4300 seems to stear real sharp compaired to the 55. Any comments are welcome thanks
