JD 4400 vs. NH 1920 vs. NH TC33Dprices and etc

I have spent the past few days test driving and shopping the compact tractors and have narrowed it down to 3:a JD4400 w/430 loader, FWD, R4 tires for $18,900 or a NH-Ford 1920 w/7108 loader, 12x4 trans, R4 tires for $18,000, or a NH-Ford TC33/D (Boomer)w/ loader, hydrostatic trans, R4 tires, for $18,650my read is this, newer body style will hold value longer than the older NH-Ford 1920 though it is a workhorse and probably the most tractor of the 3. Of the new body styles, the JD seems to be more tractor than Boomer and the specs are better. I'm leaning toward the JD 4400Any input on preference and PRICE would be greatly apprec.Chris

I also have been over this for the past 8 months. If you compare the TC33D with the 4300 JD it is a wash. I found the fit and finish on the NH to be better overall. Take a look at the seat weight adjustment the bolt runs through a plastic bushing. The first time a local dealer tightened it up it stripped the threads out. Great first impression. I also had some problems getting the 4300 to go to full power.2700 RPM's. The NH TC33D run perfect the whole time I was on it. I also like the placement of the controls better. And for me the seat was much better then the Deere. Byb the way the price I got on the JD 4300 HYDRO, Loader420 and turf tires was 17.850. The TC33D with Loader, turf tires HYDRO was 17.300.

You all make me feel like I made out like a bandit. Lst Friday I bought a 1990 Ford/New Holland 1920 2WD, 4&3 shift, 1150 hrs, 6' Woods finish mower, 5' Bush Hog and 6'snow blade with chains. The tractor looks like new, the implements look a little worn but in good mechanical shape. I gave $8950 for the works. Also does anyone have any experience with moving big hay bales with one of these, I was wondering if I had enought tractor for that. Also looking for a front end loader to go with it. Thanks
