I'm selling my JD790, and need some advise as to the value and a fair price to ask. It's two years old with only 30 hours on it (which may explain why I'm selling it). It's 4WD, has rear & mid PTOs, SCV and 70A loader, bar tires, hood guard and hydraulic Power Beyond. Except for some mud on the tires, it's pretty much brand new. Always garage kept. It's located in southeastern New England. I paid $14800 new. I'd appreciate any help.

I'll give you $7000.
Just kidding. I've been looking on and off for the past 2yrs. for a compact. What I've found is that you can get pretty much of what you paid for it.
Good luck. ....

I paid $15,500 for the 790 w/30 hours, a 70A Loader and the 60" Belly Mower a year ago. I think you could sell yours for your original price of $14,000 ....

Kevin,
Actually, I decided not to sell it. I'd had a line on an old ford 8N with a loader. Was thinking of selling the 790, buying the 8N and banking the difference. Thinking more about it I realized the old Ford couldn't do what the JD can. It's a nice little unit. I have no complaints(see my post on the battery thread). Your post says SE Ct. I'm in Southern RI. I bought mine from Howard Johnsons in Wakefield. Real good folks. I can recommend them. ....
