 JD 790 vs NH 1720

I am looking at both the JD 790 and NH 1720 and am having a difficult time deciding between them. I need an economical but strong and rugged machine for various duties on @ 7 acres. I really like both these tractors but for different reasons. For me the 790's shifter and throttles' placement are great, plus it appears to be very strong for its size and price. My only concern is its rather low rear lift capacity of 815 lbs (24" aft). How will this limit its use in the real world? The NH 1720 has close to a 1900 lb capacity and seems to be able to handle a wider range of larger attachments than the 790. The 790 fits my budget better but I do not want too many limitations imposed by the disparity in lift capacities and machine weight. Any info will be highly appreciated!

I own a 790 and I feel that the 3PH lift numbers are probably not accurate. I have a BushogSQ600 that weights 522 lbs and its center of gravity is waay farther back than the 24" where the lift capacities are rated. It has no problem picking the whole bushog off the ground. I can't think of a commonly used implement on a compact that has that much weight that far back.

I also have a JD790, and do not think I would want anything over 1000 pounds hanging on the rear, wouldn't be able to keep the front end on the ground. I have used a boom to pick up several desiel engines weighting in around a 1000 pounds and had to have the loader bucket full of cinder blocks to keep it on the ground. Look around, there are not many implements for cat 1 tractors that that heavy, the mower is about the largest.
