Deere 4115 BH with MMM - possible?

I would like to buy a used 4115 from my dealer. I would like to have a FEL, MMM and BH. The dealer says that the BH frame needs to be removed everytime to install the MMM. This would take a few hours....I am told. fyi This is not the case on the 2320, but it is with the 2520.

Can anyone verify this? Thanks, Kirby

Deere 4115 BH with MMM - possible?

I tried to get this question answered last month but the dealer dropped the ball.

Here are the facts. The backhoe frame stays attached to the backhoe. The only thing that stays on the tractor are a pair of "U" shaped receivers that attach to the same struts as the FEL does.

The only question is this: when you raise the mower deck will it clear the receivers on the FEL mounts?

I can provide pictures if that will help you.

BTW, I ended up buying a Woods rear mount finish mower from a Kubota dealer over two hours away.... mostly because he was the only person who would return a flipping phone call.

I guess the rest of them are too busy to make money.

Deere 4115 BH with MMM - possible?

I think I am beginning to understand this better. When you remove the BH, the underside sub-frame gets removed too, not just the BH off the back. Are there a couple of brackets that get left under the tractor that get pinned to the sub-frame? It is these brackets that could interfere with the MMM. I was given the inpression that just a couple of pins were pulled from behind the tractor.

My friends have been trying to convince me to use a rear mower, but due to some tight areas in the yard, I would rather have a MMM.

These tractors are a series of trade offs. The dealer's don't seem to really understand the BH much. I have got different answers from different dealers. Even the Kubota sales guys have the same problem. I guess BH and MMM is not a common combination. I have seen other forums and there is much discussion about this.

thanks for any comments. Kirby

In my pics: #5 shows the backhoe sub-frame under the tractor.

Pic #7 shows an upturned metal flange with a bit of sunlight on it, right under the "go" pedals and the FEL hoses, just inboard of the front wheel.

That flange is all that stays on the tractor when the BH is removed.
