 Backhoe for JD 4300

I'm considering putting a backhoe on my JD4300. I've checked with Woods and was told that a mtg. kit wouldn't be available for a few months - I'm assuming that the other aftermarket folks would have the same story. Does anyone have any pricing information on a JD 47 or 48 backhoe? I was hoping to purchase a used unit but that may not be possible because the tractor is of a newer design. I don't want the hoe mounted on the 3 point. Any suggestions?

I might be mistaken but I believe Bush Hog also has a frame mount.Frame mount is the ONLY way to go. The 3 points are dangerous & you can really bend things not to mention anything about making every loose. Making a used one fit to your 4000 series might be a real hassle, but could be done. You might check & see if you can add a frame to the regular 3 point mount at a later date when the mounts become available if you need it NOW.

The model 47 is not a 3 point hitch backhoe it has a seperate mount which has to be installed to the tractor and the three point hitch only raises it to be pined into the mount and does not carry the backhoe at all. Takes approximately 5 minutes to put on or take off a really nice set up from the privous models.

we have a jd 4300 with 47 backhoe. Tried a kelly and GB hoes before we bought the jd hoe. It was a little more money ($5300) but works so much nicer and easier than others that it wasn't even considered.
