I am currently in the market for a 65ish HP 4X4 and stumbled onto a 5320. I know the 5325 has replaced this model, but that doesn't really matter to me. Right now I am looking at $28,000 without a loader and $33,000 with a loader (It has the reverser tansmission). Does this sound about right to you guys? I am also going to trade in a Ford 4000 in fairly good condition and 4,200 hours on it. What kinda of a trade in value can I expect? I am trying to get the price to as close to $20,000 with the trade in as possible. What is the competition like in this size of a tractor or is the JD the best? Thanks in advance.

The 5320 is a real fine machine but the price as compared to other brands with comparable features is revolting. I love Deere products but I suggest you look around at some other brands unless you are solid on wanting the Deere. Here is a link to an internet dealer and pricing for the 5325 just to give you a feel for pricing out there. I am also looking at tractors in this very same size/hp class. Have you looked at the Kioti DK65? They are selling for around $24,500 with a 1730 FEL. ....

As far as the value of the Ford 4000; it depends on the year and whether it is a gas or diesel model. Look it up on Machinery Link and it will give you a retail value. Don't expect to get anywhere near this much for it on a trade in. ....

Thank you. The only other models we looked at were Case and Massey, which are close to us in PA. I will have to look at these other machines real quick. Any other feedback is appreciated. The Ford 4000 is gas also if that helps. ....

Just to add, I talked to Agco and New Holland, but they are a bit of a drive or seem uninterested in my business. This tractor will be the last one I plan on buying for a long long time. I was hoping to stick with one of the main stream brands, call me old fashion. ....
