 JD 4610 vs NH TC45D

I have been "lurking" on this site for a couple of months and it has been extremely helpful in narrowing my search for a new compact tractor. Now I will begin to take a more active role on the Forum. I would like everyone's input on my final choices. I have a quote for a JD 4610 w/460 FEL, eHydro, 4WD, mid-PTO, dual mid and rear hydraulics, iMatch, rear wheel weights, rear light and warning light brush guards for $25,225 +tax. I have a quote on a NH TC45D similarly equipped (but no mid-PTO or iMatch)for $24,339 + tax. I like both and have test driven both. My real question is are these quotes reasonable or do I have a chance to get them lower? Also, in comparison, I thought the JD quote would be a lot higher relative to the NH. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I will use the tractor on 16 acres of land with about 3 acres of lawn and the rest in forest. I will be clearing, putting in an 800' driveway, plowing (NW PA snow belt), stumping, grading, logging, etc., etc. Thanks and sorry for long initial message!

I gave $23,300 for my JD 4610 4WD, with 460 loader, R4 tires, Folding ROPS, ehydro, arm rests, telescoping draft links, front and rear works lights, cruise control and brush guards for lights. That did include a $900 rebate. I'm not sure JD is still offering it though.

Maybe this will help you.

Billy

Ken: I can't comment about the money deals, but you may have followed the recent discussions about MMM and front snow blowers. I either might be in your future, a mid-pto would be very good to have.

Myself, I wouldn't hesitate tackling an 800' drive with a 3ph blower and I'm not so particular about lawns that I'd be very interested in a MMM, so mid-pto wouldn't by a big reason for me to buy a tractor. Actually I don't have a mower at all for the tractor. A riding mower works better for our two 1-acre lawns that have out building and flocks of trees and bushes. If I was going to handle sizable logs over rough ground, I'd probably start out wanting the heaviest tractor I could find. Heavy and good 3ph capacity usually go together.

Albion, looks like you need to hook up with Ryan who has a JD dealership in PA. He has a post stating he has several on sell but I don't know if he has a 4610. It is somewhere here in the JD price forum.
Kyle
