 spreaders,blades, and buckets.

Yesterday I noticed a flier from CT farm & Home store. They listed a 3pt spreader for a little more than $200. Anyone have experience with this unit?Is the spreader PTO or electric motor driven? Its Obviously budget line, but it may be good for my uses. Consisting of spreading fertilizer once a year on 2 acres. I also looked at the rear blades they sell. Comments.. Having a 4100, my intentions are mostly limited to clearing snow, left behind by the loader. With an occasional scrap in the dirt. I'm sure its rather light duty, but do I really need a heavy duty unit? And lastly, I've read a bunch of posts from guys complaining about snow sticking to the loader bucket. I sprayed my "clean" bucket with one of those "waterless" car wash sprays, of which I'm pretty sure contains wax..Well..its not entirely perfect, but after much snow removal yesterday and this morning, the bucket only had enough snow sticking to it to make an average snowball. Hey, it might even work on snow blades.. IMHO, its well worth the extra 30 seconds it takes to spray the bucket, and it seems to last fairly long. It may even work "better" with a second coat, now that the first may be wearing a bit..

 spreaders,blades,-and-buckets.

CT Farm 3pt spreader. Bought one last summer, holds 1000#,took 2 hrs to put it together because it came with no instructions, made in Italy,I paid$280,spread 2000# fertilizer in an afternoon over my 10 acre lawn.If you let that "twirly thing" spin without much fertilizer it turns to hard clay-one of us talked how it took him hours to chisel it out last year- I thought I was doomed too when I ran it with a low level and saw that brown mess. Well I took a hose to it and it just melted away! Sprayed some WD on it and put it away for the winter. For occaisional use like mine I would recommend it.I'll try spreading grass seed this March/April.
