 buy 2003 4410 or 2005 3520??????

I can buy a 2003 4410/r4/430fel/72mmm/rear blade /ehydro/140 hours for $17000 in great shape. Private seller.

Or I can buy a 2005 3520 ehydro/300cx/3rdscv/72mmm/r4/200hrs for $20500. Out of town dealer.

Or I can buy a brand new 2005 3520 with same options for $23900. In town dealer.

Am leaning towards the 4410 due to price. Any opinions? I know the 3520 has a more durable final drive.

I think I would be leaning pretty strong towards the 4410 as well. Be sure to pull the battery out and check the radiator, steering cooler, and shelf sheet metal BEFORE you buy it. You might find a nasty surprise that will give you a bargaining chip.

Well, I have a 4310 with 72mmm, 430 loader, rear blade, etc and I love the tractor. It cut my mowing time in half. The MFWD is awesome in the snow. You won't go wrong with either tractor.

I have a new holland tc29d with a 72" mmm and I have heard that the john deere mmm has superior cut and is easier to take on and off? Any comments appreciated.

I don't know about the NH mmm. But I have the 72" JD MMM. If I remember to do everything right and in sequence, it takes approx 20 minutes or less to remove the MMM on my 4310. If I don't, it takes longer. I usually forget to do it right.

It's important to turn the rear mmm wheels to aid in sliding the deck out BEFORE you remove it. Otherwise it's a PITA. The dang front brush guard for the loader gets in the way of the tension lever to apply the final tension. So I have to remember to have that set right else it's take everything back off and do it over.

There are no instructions that I have found. I had to learn by trial and error. Have blocks handy to raise the deck when attaching the rear supports. Remember to turn the tractor's front wheels to the side to install or uninstall the deck and be able to clear them. You will need to raise the front of the tractor up so the mower deck clears the low points of the tractor. I use jack but have used the loader when it was installed.

Oh yeah, have the PTO shaft in the right spot before installing the deck. I didn't the last time and that was a 10 minute exercise in correcting the problem.

It's far from perfect, but I suppose there are worse out there.

You described my new holland installation almost exactly..... except my deck weighs around 3 or 4 hundred pounds, it is EXTREMELY HEAVY. I am 6' 3" 230lbs and i can barely lift up half of it at a time to set the pins.

I am negotiating on a 4310 as I type this, how do you like the power on yours as far as handling that 72" cut? My tc29 is a little anemic, cuts ok but bogs down in tall (6 inches or more) grass.

This guy wants 17000 for a 4310 with 170hrs and a 430 loader with a bushhog.... I would have to buy a mmm though.
