I am looking at an add for a 6x4.

It has not info on year or engine but says the e-brake does not work.

Does this mean it crawls forward in gear at idle or when in neutral?

Is this an easy fix or something internal to the tranny?

Are we talking a couple hundred or $1k to fix?

Thanks,
Bill

I am assuming they are referring to the Parking Brake.

Without it the Gator will roll on hills when parked. Transmission won't necessarily hold it in place.

Having this problem with my 6X4. Not sure of cost to fix it yet. ....

On the earlier (pre 2005) 6X4s, the parking brake and foot brake are connected together. Adjusting the brakes is pretty easy, but you should refer to the technical manual TM1518 for instructions. Somewhere on this forum there is a link to a downloadable copy. ....
