After mowing a while my blades stopped and I learned a fuse was blown. I replaced with good fuse then engaged cutting deck and it blew a fuse again. Sometimes when mowing and the mower is warm, when I turn it off I cannot immediately engage the cutting deck. Can someone tell me where my problem might be?

Well, I don't know what machine you have. But, if i had a machine blowing fuses, I would check the wires involved with the function blowing the fuses. Typically I will open the fuse block, find the color of the wire and follow it to the the switch the switch, then follow the wire off the switch to the actuator solenoid for you blades, some where you have a short in the wire or possibly the solenoid ....

One way to check for a short and save fuses,put/hookup a lite bulb/test lite, where the fuse is,as long as the bulb is lit, there is a short. You can trace the wires,or unhook one wire at a time and narrow it down. tnttom ....

The OP's profile says he has a JD 318.

If you're suddenly blowing fuses on the electric clutch circuit I'd start tracking the wiring to it. Blown fuses indicate too much current, but when they blow as you engage the circuit, it usually indicates a short circuit.

Best of luck. ....
