I've seen a few remarks on the Farm Pro but would like as much info as possible. I just saw their 24 HP 4WD with a loader and hoe for $12,000. That's about 1/2 of what I've seen some of the brand names go for locally. That "saved" money might allow for a few more potential repairs. Please advise.

I am not sure how you get the 2X factor. A Kioti 2554 is in the 10K range with out the FEL or backhoe. The JD 790 and NH TC-30 although larger tractors are not much more.
If you want minimal service and greater repair responsibiliy at a lower price you might consider the Power Trac tractors. I believe you can get a tractor with features near that price from them. At least they are American built rather than Chinese. Personally I would rather support the boys in VA.

Someone once said they would rather have a used Corolla than a new Yugo and I think the analogy may fit here.

If you check out the chinese tractor board they spend a lot of time figuring out how to fix or re-engineer their "bargains". We do discuss warranty issues here too but not to the extent they do over there.

Thanks to all who responded to my inquiry. I think I will probably spend the extra money and go with the Kubota B2410 or similar. I guess that you do get what you pay for.

I own a Kubota 3410 and a Jinma 284. Please let me know who sells the Kubota for the same price or even close as the Jinma.I know my Kubota was 2X the price. Yes it is better by far but if you only require small useage and want to save money then the Jinma is the way to go.

On another note I don't like persons that don't own a Chinesse tractor coming on this board and bad mouthing them. I don't go on JD,Case or what ever board that I don't have no connection with.

Some Jinma owners are looking at this board to start using. One of the things that we don't need is people that only want to start a fight. We use the board for support and ways to help fix problems among ourselves.

People like Blake are babys and is only looking to stir the pot. How he is on this board. Why does he not stick to what he now owns? Not a Jinma anymore as it was beyond his capability.

Cub, I'm with you. I own a MF 1260 and a Jinma 224. The MF is great, not one single problem of any kind since buying it in 1997, and it has some nice features. But, the Jinma is good and cost less than 1/3 the MF. With the choice of both, I'm just as happy jumping on the Jinma for many jobs. In my opinion the Jinma offers great value.
Farmpro is of course built by Jinma. My understanding is that some of the Farmpro road show assembly isn't good. I'm certain that who one buys from makes a difference.
I bought a crate Jinma and assembled it.

Lumber, I got a 224 also. Built her up myself as a crate unit. Had fun doing it too. Put lots of TLC into every part of the assembly. I think a crate unit is not for everyone though. I've personally seen Homier farm pros at the traveling shows and their assembly left a lot to be desired. I feel who assembles them makes all the difference. They are by far, a JD or Kubota in the fit/finish areas but are a good basic machine within reasonable price range for what I use it for.I guess it all depends what you intend to use your equipment for.
