 Finish Mower Decision

I'm trying to pick out a 6' rear discharge mower for cutting bermuda grass. Looking at Bush Hog, Land Pride and Woods. Was wondering about the importance of some features such as...... 1)Front and rear wheels that are not inline and therefore don't track over the same ground. 2)Weight... is heavy better for mowing? BH has a heavier gauge deck than the Woods yet weighs 62 lbs less. Makes me think some corners are being cut somewhere. 3)How important is blade tip speed? LP is 1500fpm faster than BH. Is faster better after a certain point or simply overkill? What about air tires versus solid?Like I said I'll be cutting bermuda and the ground is somewhat uneven and sloped. I don't think I will be likely to scalp but it is a possibility. Would appreciate all opinions before I spend this much money. The wife is dead against it since our riding mower works fine. :^/

Jeff, I really don't know about the other brands, but I've had very good luck with Bush Hog. I have a tiller that's over 5 years old, I had one of their brush hogs for 4 years (traded up in size and down in quality because of price when I needed a bigger one), and I've had one of their 5' finish mowers for a year now (RDTH60). My "yard" (notice I didn't say "lawn"Wink yeah right is rough and I have a combination of bermuda, St. Augustine, clover in the Spring, unidentified varieties, and a few weeds. So far, I've been more than satisfied with this 5' rear discharge finish mower. I figure I'm using it for about as rough a service as any finish mower gets (unless you've got rocks), and no problems yet.

I have a Rhino 60" finish mower that I'm real happy with. Its a side discharge but it cuts real good. My "yard" has mostly bermuda, but also has dallis grass, weeds, clover, other undientifiable plant material. The mower seems real well built and it looks real easy to get to the belts, plus the grease fittings on the bearings are easily accessible. The 4 wheels pretty much line up however.
