Make sure you research this model thoroughly. Grey market tractors that are as new as this one are very rare. If that is the right model number, it may be that new. I thought the later model Isekis had a 3 digit model number though. The newer ones can be hard to get parts for unless they are a crossover to an American equivelent, in this case, one of the Massey compacts. If the seller tells you it is a Massey cross, make them prove it. I have been selling the greys for almost 4 years now and have seen people buy tractors that they thought were crossovers, only to be disappointed.

The Masseys that are being sold now are:
MF 1240 = Iseki TK 527
MF 1250 = Iseki TK 532
MF 1260 = Iseki TK 538

Just bought an ISEKI, Model TX 1410. Any opinion of this model or a link to order Manuals? Do you know what year this tractor is? We were told early 80's, but it only has 425 hours on it. Seems to be in real good shape, runs good, only a little rust that can be fixed. We paid $3,000. Have no idea if that was a good price or not. Thanks for any input.

10 acres is quite a challenge for a 2160 (16.5hp). With a 42 inch slasher, and heavy grass the going can be slow, 4th gear maybe 3-4 hours for 2.5 acres. If the going is rough and windy after a while the guts can hurt, but maybe that the same for any compact. Turns lightning fast with brakes, better with front weights. Good engine. A couple or three cows to help keep the grass down sure helps.

Yup, that's a lot of grass for a small machine unless you have nothing else to do but cut grass. Either look in the 50+ hp range with 7' to 12' mowers (finish or brush hog) or just get some livestock.

Sorry, Iseki 2160 is 15.5hp, maybe I was just wishing for more.
Maybe a compromise for acreage like 10ac is 25hp, 52inch or so, to move fairly quick, if there is a budget restraint and you like something fairly new. This is what I will try next, I'm not sure I want to use a larger machine, what with fairly close spaced trees, and a plastic clay that easily gets compressed into a brick when moist, if there is too much weight. How do contractors handle many hours on a machine, they sure must have good seats. One of the research departments here (Aust), after trials, now recommends swivel seats and air bags, to save backs.
