My 824D Ford tractor which has always had good oil pressure even at idle suddenly lost all pressure on the gauge. No unusual engine noise so I replaced the pressure gauge. No pressure indicated. With gauge line open, engine running, oil would only ooze out with no pressure. Removing the oil pump proved it to be in good shape with both relief valve and its spring moving freely.I stretched the spring aprox. one quarter inch before assembly. No change in running pressure. Pulled the valve cover to check the rocker arm lube tubes which are in place. Removed the oil filter and plumbed an air line to the block oil galley and think I can hear air escaping under the valve lifter cover on the right side of the block behind the injector pump. Not having a service manual, I am blindly going through this so I decided to ask for some advice.
Thanks Gene
