wondering if somebody could help me?
having trouble with the gas flowing to the carb.
after getting it running it will run for awhile the it acts like it is running out of gas. then it starts back firing out of the tail pipe then dies.
is the fuel mix. off,

Normally a backfire is a sign of the spark quiting and still having fuel. That might mean a coil, or a condensor. Both will hit after you have run it for a while. ....

My 9N used to do that too. And after it got hot. Turned out to be a bad a coil that had a contact spring that would lay down at an agle inside the hole. And the cork gasket allowed moisture to get in. Also a bad seal and bearing in the distributor allowed oil mist inside the distributor shorting it out. ....

Have you changed the gas tank cap and if so did this show up after that? If so, be sure you are using the proper cap. Have known of people using radiator cap and they will not work. kt ....

I agree with Art, the only thing that can cause the engine to back fire out the tail pipe is unburnt gas in the exhaust.
If it was starving for gas that would be the last thing to happen.
Sounds more like, as others have mentioned, you're loosing spark.
