Want backhoe for 7275, What's compatible?

I own a 7275 cub cadet and want to put on a frame mount backhoe. I've been told by the cub dealer that a PTO mount could tear the tractor in half, so a frame mount seems the way to go. I'd love to find a cub backhoe for it but that seems hard to come by. Anyone know of other types/models that will fit which I can look out for?

The only Cub Cadet approved backhoes for the 7275 are as follows: Woods 750 w/subframe, Woods 7500 Ground Breaker w/subframe, Cub Cadet 407 w/subframe, and the Cub Cadet 408 w/subframe. Be advised that all are made by Woods Manufacturing, the 750 and 407 being pre-Ground Breaker models. All should be run with the power-beyond optional kit, the pto pump is not necessary and complicates removal. The 3pt hitch can remain on the tractor, fully assembled, however, the 3 pt hitch will not be operational with the backhoe installed and the power beyond kit supplying the flow.

By all means, avoid such hoes as the Great Bend, and Kelly as they rely on the 3pt hitch for mounting and none of the Mitsubishi 7000 series Cubs can handle the stresses encountered with the 3pt hitch system of mounting. This is not to say that these are inferior products, quite the contrary, it does mean that they are capable of seriously damaging the tractor if used with the 3pt hitch mounting system.

Thanks for the info... Now all I have to do is find one. The local dealers around here do not have any right now. Anyone know of someplace that might?

Since I am new to this (if you haven't guessed already), I assume that the Model "750 with subframe" means you would order a Model 750 with the cub cadet subframe - or - does a model 750 with the subframe mean that this is a bolt on for the Cub Cadet and other tractors?

If I had to guess I'd say the subframe is unique to each tractor. I would order the subframe kit for the Cub Cadet and then bolt on the 750 to the subframe. That makes more sense.

One last thing ... THANK YOU for the reply and the information. It is greatly appretiated.

When purchasing a Woods product, from a source other than a Cub Cadet dealer, you would need to order the right sub-frame for your tractor. The backhoes I mentioned can be configured for either 3pt hitch mount, or sub-frame mount (even skid steer). This allows the units to be sold for a variety of applications. As I mentioned, you really need the sub-frame for the Mitsubishi 7000 series units.

If you do buy one of these backhoes, you should also have the front end loader. Why? The Woods manufactured front end loader is designed to mate to the sub-frame, thus transfering loads and stress produced when using the backhoe, past the somewhat delicate joints of bell housing, transfer case, and transmission. The bolts at these locations are prone to stripping if the tractors are used with 3pt hitch backhoes. Should you add the backhoe or not, always check the torque values of your frame bolts periodically.

I did go with a 7500 woods (used) and a new woods subframe. I have the cub FEL already on the tractor. I hope they are compatible. I'll be bolting them together next week when the arrive.

Pardon my ignorance.... but what is the "power-beyond optional kit"? Thanks...
