 HYDRAULIC DECK LIFT

Can anyone tell me where the valve is located and hooked up to for the hydraulic deck lift on a 7235? I do not have aux hydraulics on the rear. I do have a valve body on the right side near the brake pedals. This is where the loader lines attach. Rear aux would be great too. For things like rotating the chute on a snowblower. Any info would be great. I have two dealers within 6 miles. If I'm not buying a new tractor from them, they won't help me. I'm hoping one of you folks will. Thanks, Denny

DZLDENNY,

I'm not sure about the tractor you have, but most tractors have the rear hydraulic port located high above the right side rear axle. You should be able to see it from the rear of the tractor. It is a small steel, football-shaped plate, about 1/2" thick, with two bolts in it. This plate covers the rear aux hydraulic ports when they are not in use.

Using the rear port is not as simple as one might think. There are a whole lot of hoses, valves, and special connectors involved........and none of it is cheap. More importantly, however, is the fact that smaller tractors just don't put out enough fluid per minute to make the rear port useful for much of anything......other than for something like a snowblower chute.

If you decide to hook this up, your first purchase might be a hydraulic top link. They are necessary when using a 3-point cement mixer, among other things.

I believe your biggest problem is going to be trying to figure out where to mount an additional spool valve. It's not easy to do, and most that I've seen look like hell. This is going to be a garage project that will take you a while to figure out, and even longer to make it look like it was done by a professional. There isn't a convenient spot to locate an extra spool valve on most small tractors.

Joel
