Is your CC 2500 a gas hog?

Mine seems like it is

I think you just figured out why so many commercial operators run diesels.

Small gas engines are notoriously thirsty, air-cooled ones especially.

Besides, there is no comparison with a diesel when it comes to life-span or durability, never mind performance.

Best of luck.

Murf's right. I have a 22hp 2-cyl. Kohler gas engine on a manlift that uses 5 gallons in 6 hours running at just above idle. I also have a 33hp diesel CUT that will run 2 full work days doing heavy work on 8 gallons. Yes diesels cost way more initially but in the short and long runs they're worth every penny.

Kenny--YOU GOT ME pal! Good thing there's an "edit" button (so I don't look the fool that you called me on)

Guess the medication didn't kick in or I didn't take enough.

But in retrospect, with all that time on the Coast, I have become dislxik...no, dislecksik...no dyslexic...no, can't spell. My redneckishism is creeping back up on me!

Brown, if you make the rear tires taller it will always be rolling down hill so you'll get better mileage---that is, when you get it started.

Brown, which state do you think was happier when EW moved back to Michigan? Smile

Never mind, just found tax value went up 8.2% in Ole Miss. EW, please don't get upset. Naw you want, you will want to get even. kt
