Case New Holland to Use Farmall Name?

I read the attached link, and was surprised to find out that CNH plans on reviving the Farmall brand...I thought McCormick still owned the Farmall name...

I thought International has owned the Farmall name for a long time.

Maybe I missed a step in the 'musical chairs' they played with brand names.

I thought that International Harvester became Case IH, which later became what is today CNH.....

Where did McCormick come into the picture....

I haven't been paying alot of attention to it...but I thought I read somewhere that part of the deal with the FTC when Case and NH merged was that they had to sell of the McCormick plant in England, and with it, the Farmall name...they look like re-badged Boomers.

If you go to mccormick-intl.com you can find the history of all of this. Is anyone interested in restoring antique farm machinery. I think I have a McCormick-Deering thrashing machine and a whole bunch of other stuff, i.e. hand corn cob grinders, etc. and know nothing about this stuff.

Some of the farms have been in our family since 1857 and I have inherited allot of old stuff, mostly in need of repair.

Laughing out loud you think you have a hard time following the changes, I work for them, did you know we are owned by fiat? LMAO.
We never know from day to day who or what we will be next. The bottom line though is we are still producing a very nice machine and what ever name or color is on it quality is always a priority. The boomers out of Dublin at one time had a .085% rate of warrenty work, dont know what it is currently at. My only suggestion off the record is that when a new tractor starts production hold on to what you have for a few months or buy a old model new tractor. I dont care what company you talk about (I have worked in this field for 22 years) When ever a new line comes out you would not believe the rush that goes into releasing and hitting the due dates thus leaving room for errors. If there is one thing american manufacturers should improve on is the new product lines being put out for sale too soon. I dont care if you are talkin about a Tri-clover dairy pump or valve or a tractor, they are all the same. We put more emphasis on hitting the due date than anything else and it is even worse at some other tractor manufacturers, I have experianced that first hand.
I do feel that CNH case/new holland puts out a very fine CUT that is equal to any other out there and a bit cheaper for the most part, ( I always thought green paint was cheaper to use than red) Laughing out loud. Good luck with what ever you buy, and if you ever are in the market for a 190 horse tractor get a hold of me and I will give you a tour of the plant.

HI. No not in Ladysmith, In Racine Wi. I live down here by the state line and Lake Michigan. I have a house up by you and owned the land for 18 years. I will be moving in 4-5 short years, (need to make the money for retirement later now) Anyway, yes I was up bunny hunting when the cold snap, SNAPPED! i wound up puttin in a 1/2 mile of tril which wound up being more like 3/4 mile actual walking distance. The husqavaurna (sorry spelling) brush hog works wonders in snow when it is cold. Put it in right before the bigger snows. The trail turned out excellent! Right thru the old tornado damage from 92 still! We lost 50 acres in it and it has been a deer hideaway since. They got trouble now though, the trail goes right thru all the tangled mess and re-growth Laughing out loud.
The CNH plant is doing pretty well since we closed the tractor plant and moved everything out to the transmition plant. We now have everything except the foundry under one roof, tight but it is pretty cool. Still hard to watch blue tractors going down the same line with red ones.
Shhh... I think the blue is a much superior design, tighter turning capability's and just plain old prettier, Laughing out loud
Take care , you must be around Hayward or Winter?
