I have had the tractor for about 5 years. whenever i accidently put in Low/Low It was hard to get out. I checked Transmission grease.. Full but dirty. Adjusted clutch to disengage more..no help

Try driving a few feet in the opposite direction to the last movement, or back and forth -- or even jacking the rears clear of the ground -- to remove any drivetrain lockup. ....

I find the easiest way by far to release a stiff shifter is to get the machine rolling and with a very even throttle setting, neither accelerating or decelerating, just coasting in gear, try to gently slide the shifter out into neutral.

The lower the gear, the more torque there is against the gears when the machine is working so you have to make sure the pressure is reduced to the bear minimum.
