Massey Ferguson 283 Made in Brazil
I'm having a lot of trouble identifying the exact year of my tractor. No one is recognizing the serial number: 5469000130. They keep saying "too many digits" or "it's supposed to start w/ a letter". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have almost driven to my brother's to read the serial number on his but have passedon that. Doesn't Massey use a tag with the model and serial number stamped on it? If so it would seem simple to be sure you have the serial number. If that is where you are finding this number are you able to take a picture of it? If not get another set of eyes to read the tag.
I assume it was a Massey deal who told you the number was wrong.
