That is one great machine!! I came super close to buying that model but could not gut the dealers in my area. I opted for a similar Deere model and a dealer i really liked. Good Luck with your new toy.

Dennis...I just looked at your link for their cord measurement....Just take a look at the picture of the full chord of wood. Looks like a couple of large logs are missing to me. I Guess Mulchexpress...by the name itself...says it all.

mupparpa...anyway to mount a hitch between the 3pt. I don't have a kubota but thought my neighbors kubota had a plate to bolt on a ball. My deere has an extendable ball mounting plate between the 3pt hitch. Think you would really want a fixed ball hitch that stays on all the time, rather than having to put one on and off, on and off the 3pt hitch. You can always have one made by a good welder in your area.

Duc..the 2520 is a fast,powerful,sturdy machine,and with the 72"mmm I get done mowing very quick. It was 85 degrees out couple days ago and was messing around filling the balast box with rocks and had a hard time getting it attached with the regular 3pt, was sweating to death. I never owned a tractor with 3pt. Needless to say....i got the imatch system for dummies, just back up, grab it and go.

Those give you the fireplace look without the smoke in the house and heat up the chimney. They do not look anything like a wood insert. No drawback at all just kinda expensive but way better than just a fireplace and about as good as insert if not better because of the look you get. If you are worried about a log roll out just don't load it full all the time and you will be fine. Just always be prepared for anything to happen when the doors are open though!!

Question as to trailer and brakes. I have been using a small tiltable 4 by 8 trailer since 1983 and getting a new jd 2520 and will need a much bigger trailer. Looking at the 16ft trailers with 2 axels but will i need the trailer brakes? The 2520 will have 72mmm and 61"cx loader and ballast box. I drive a 2007 chevy tahoe LTZ. I never had any use for trailer brakes but I am older now and pay more attention to safety. This truck maybe the same weight as a tundra. thx

Kwschumm....About the firplace insert in basement. I have 2900 sf all brick ranch with full walkout basement tall ceilings 15'4'' and rest are 10' with lots of windows,and is 94 ft long.I tried the insert in the basement trick but could not get it to really do anything like heat the 1st floor at all. It would heat the open basement, but the only one down there was me loading the thing and my furnace was still running like normal. I moved the insert up to the main floor and would heat the open areas just great but the outside rooms on both sides of the house and basement were cold and the wife couldn't take it anymore. Our average gas bill is $400-$500 month in winter but i am heating the basement so really heating 5800 sq ft or so.
I sold the LOPI insert good for 2400 sq ft and installed an Energy King wood furnace on the backside of the basement fireplace (fireplace is in center of basement)and closed off the damper and ran stainless tube all the way up the chimney. This thing heats the entire house,everysingle room through your duckwork, and you could buy a water jacket to heat water. I bought the 160,000 btu model. With gas, we set the heat at 67 and with wood it averages 70-75. Wife is happy and that is all that counts isn't it. Good luck with your choice ,winter is almost here.

Buttonwood... I would call a kubota dealer, I just got a refund on my 28hp kubota mower and remembered that the dealer told me 3times to not run out of fuel, that it was a pain to get it started once out of fuel. Think you need to bleed the air out of the lines. I just cant remember the sequence you need to do...You can also search online how to start diesel out of fuel. Best of luck

Jasonr...Yes you need to drop some simple store bought bleach down the well to kill the bacteria in the well and run it through all the lines in the house. We have an inline filter and put bleach right into the clear screw on part of the filter and then run through all the faucets. You should also remember to get the bleach into your hot water tank as well as bacteria grows faster in that tank. You will instantly smell the difference in your water after you clorinate with the bleach. You may have to do this once or twice a year. Hope this helps, It helped me for sure!Just remember if the bleach doesn't touch or go through that line then the bacteria will back track, back into the house lines again. Good luck

retcol... think yes it is a common problem since i had a 1999 Ford expedition which is based on the f-150 platform and probably has the same electrical pattern. My digital odometer did the same thing up until i traded it in. I didn't care what the odometer said anyway, and it never affected the performance, just on one day then off...at least i could still tell how fast i was driving. Had it checked and they could not find problem when they plugged the computer in.

OK now....wasn't trying to step on any farmers toes here about the price of milk. I cannot eat my frosted flakes or lucky charms without milk and buy it regardless of price. I was comparing the two prices per gallon regarding engine life and how long to leave the engine running if it would help to extend the life. I was saying that if Diesel was $5 a gallon, then i don't know if anyone would leave the engine running longer than need be. At $2.8 a gallon, don't think i would worry as much. Hope that clarifies, just trying to get the best advice to make a $20,000 tractor last as long as it can.

Rlsmith....Wow...Amazing that you still haven't heard anything on your bx tractor Hydro problem yet it is on the 3rd week by now and getting close to a month without a tractor. Did they offer you a loaner yet? Really doesn't say much for your dealer. Hope it all works out for you.

It really reminded me of a previous post on deck thickness and did the thickness of a mowing deck,brush hog deck really matter much. I guess in this kinda situation it does.

Your bx22 price seems like a great price! Didn't locate the bx22 for 3500 from smith but yeah its a scam. The bx22 is just too small for me, or it would already be in my garage by now. Wife says too much stuff in the 3 car garage already. I would think it wouldn't last a week.

Candoarms is right...really look bigger than the bx series for 100 acres of property. The bx has small tires and you will feel all the bumps. Get at least the B-series tractors for kubota or the smaller 20 series tractors from deere. candoarms is again right on the front loader is essential, or maybe you like to wheelbarrow stuff around at your age...not me. Think you can still get your smaller mowing deck to fit into your shed for both colors. Good luck with your choice, your dealer you purchase from is really more important than price you pay or the color of the machine. Like your dealer the best and he will take care of you when you need him.

I think you would be better off with a larger tractor with larger tires to smooth out the bumps for your 13 acres. You can still get your mmm and tow the 60" off the back. Two of my neighbors have the bx2350 models and kinda bumpy on rough ground with the smaller tires. The BX line do not lift very much with the loader about 500 lbs. Think for the future and good luck with your purchase

Art...What is your opinion...on John deere deck thickness and performance. Would a 10 gauge 62 drive over deck last just as long and perform just as good as a 72" 9 gauge deck and a 7 iron 7 gauge deck. I had someone on here answer one of my questions earlier as to 72inch decks. He said I would be unhappy without a 7 iron deck but it wasn't avail. for the 2520 deere tractor. Would anyone on here be dissappointed getting a new 2520 tractor with turf tires and with 62d drive over deck and a cx loader,to mainly mow once a week or so in ohio.
