Won't the insulation keep the cold from penatrating the ground, or help maintain the grounds yearound temp.?
We use this method a lot and don't seem to have trouble?
Mostly under slabs in unheated buildings and under post
and pad type construction.
I have a 30' lean to on the side of my garage, concrete pads
on 2" foam pads, no heaving?
What do you have for attachments?

I had 1400+ hard dusty hours on my last stump grinder when I traded it. 25 hp kohlor Command. Mobile one since new.

Not sure about your climate, but here in Maine it seems to work well
provided you get a good mix. I found out not all applicators
mix it the same. Do your homework and talk to some pro's.
I understand it can vary greatly. Type and % of what type
of seed and fert.
Some will stand behind it 100%.

Had my first at 40. Mother died at69 from colon cancer.
Probably still be with us if she had gotten hers.
I'm due in May for my second one, no sweat, compared to
the chemo. for not getting one.
My biggest discomfort was the three beautiful nurses
with the long black rubber hose. It is a highly curable
cancer if caught in time and the "clean as a whistle"
feels good.

I'm not familiar with the Kioti, probably a fine machine.
But as you said, Kubota has the name which in my book =
resale value. In five years that 1000.oo will come back.
Compare used prices.

A few questions come to mind. What are you going to store up there? What is the attic truss rated for(dead weight).<br>
What about stairs cost? location? 10'x6' they are going to be out in the room a little. You will also have to light the stair and storage area, as well as isolate it if you are insulating,doors?. IMHO that 5 will turn into 10 real quick.<br>

I think everything depends on the site, that is the only variable. Wet ,dry,sunny,shaded,elevated,low? you get it.<br>
Now take control of the variable to eliminate trouble down the road. The way to do that is to make the site higher if needed to drain storm water,get down below any frost,IMO the most effective way is a 4-6 foot frost wall and a perimeter drainage of stone and pipe and fabric.<br>
Now the rest of the methods are shortcuts to avoid this expense.They may or may not work in your area. Believe me<br>
I have tried them all with varying success,depending on the site.Seems like, if it works for one guy it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. The next guys site isn't quite drained the same and one year the frost shoves one of his posts through the roof. Now the repair costs more than the frost wall. Pour a wall four feet below grade and at least<br>
18" above grade with anchor bolts every 3-4 ' and build yourself some thing that will appreciate in value and not need maintenece for a long time. The concensus around here is the new PT will last about half as long as the old formula.Notice this chart stops at 14 yrs. the new formular drops like a rock in the 15th yr. Not sure if it is the same product you are dealing with? But I think it was a fed EPA rule?<br>

mix some used motor oil 50/50 with k-1, run it through a cheese cloth and treat the lumber in contact with the cement<br>
and within 2' of the ground and forget the PT.<br>

I am glad you picked up on that. I know for a fact that it is a commonly overlooked severe hazard.
A basement fire will head for the stairs and block them off.
A battery back-up light pointing the way to that window isn't a bad idea. I'm the same on those smoke alarms,can't
have enough. Hard wired with battery back -up.
One shot of warmed up Bourbon before bed and sweat that
flu right out of you! So my folks use to say anyway.
