I have a TC33D w/out SS and I think the turning radius is just fine. I don't do a lot of close quarters mowing though.

I used it last night, the vibration went away when I lowered it a bit. Worked great. Had the existing garden done in 15min.. It would have taken 2 or more hours with the walk behind.

It seems the gear box is in the way of getting a deeper till, I don't think 8" depth is possibly.

I just dug 2 Ponderosa Pines last Saturday. The rule of thumb is 9-12" wide and 6" deep root ball per 1" diameter of tree trunk. I thought the ground was wetter than it was. I lost alot of dirt around them and some of the roots were exposed. I trimmed the roots, burlaped and planted them immediately with a generous amount of water. I don't have much hope but these Ponderosa Pines have done well in our shaley soil in the past. If you have alot, maybe you should rent a tree spade.

I began driving '79. I remember all too well the gas shortages and the thought that I wasn't going to drive, my lifelong passion at the time. I always try to get the most efficient vehicle to do the job.
One thing about buying another vehicle is just not the cost of the vehicle but, insurance, maintenance, and here in Pennsylvania, $60 for inspection each year. But if you're only getting 12mpg, you can make that up pretty quick.

All I saw on the Toyota web site was the Tundra and the Tacoma. From what I heard, since the Tacoma is nearly as big as the Tundra, the Tundra will be going away. The salesman said starting in 2006, that Toyota is going to get serious with 1-ton dualies on down.

I was going through the same thing with my TC33D (~29 PTO HP). I have a 5ft. track, I'm glad I went with the 6ft.. You'll be glad you do too, IMHO.

This is the line I'm confused about "I went direct to KK to
get a pack of 3left and 3right teeth -$53.52 delivered." Do you mean you can use KK teeth(tines) on other tillers? I went to KK site, the 60" tiller is 600+lbs, a hefty little unit.

I'm kicking around the 4' vs 5' tiller. It is only a couple hundred bucks cheaper, but then it's a couple hundred bucks cheaper. I'm defenately going with the KK, I'm very pleased with their rotaty mower and everybody here seems pleased with their KK stuff too. I like the idea of plowing and then tilling and I see 1 and 2 bottom plows around fairly cheap. Thanks everyone.
