on the 4600 is the loader tight when hooked up or does it rattle when driving. even though the loader is quick to take off i was just wondering if it was as heavy duty as the kubota loader<br>

has anyone purchased a 4500 or 4600 tractor yet and can you give advice on my purchase. in the 4000 series tractors does anyone have a problem with the loader lever being in the way when the loader isnt attached. thanks

Does anyone have any information on MF1200 series tractors. On there reliability, attachments, and on there easy of use. I am looking at JD 4200, and New Holland TC29D. Any idea on how they compare.

I am looking at 25 to 27 HP compact tractor and would like to know how sharp will they turn. I know Kubota and New Holland have turning system how do they compare to a JD4200 using it brakes for turning!

<br>thanks that explains a bunch, im familiar with the power reverser on a ford backhoe 555b, we had a 90 model with less than 200 hours, went through 3 reversers bfore we sold it, the ford dealer kept replacing it free after the first time but they never figured out what was wrong. thats the only thing that worries me about the jd powerreverser. when it worked,on the ford, it was nice so im going to try to find out more on it by the the end of the month. im sure jd's reverser isnt the same but would like to know more. im going to buy by the end of the month ,im going to see if i can get the 4600power, 4x4, with loader around 20k, ill post results thanks

<br>both tractors,4600 and 341, seem to me very close in capabilities i dont have a kubota dealer close by and that plays a big part in my decision. ive used a kubota quite a bit and have no complaints. ive also used a yanmar 20hp and i dont think you could kill it (lauging). it just ran and ran and ran. i know that jd uses yanmar engines in the 4000 series but im not sure about the rest of the tractor. i dont think their is a difference in prices either, jd offers 10%down and 8.3fixed 60m

The statements that Fred has made should apply to most anyone that has purchased a tractor of any kind for non-commercial use. Very few people can afford or want to be farmers full time , but the attraction and satisfaction of lawn care, gardening, and grounds maint. is still there for many of us. I totally agree with the statements about other luxuries, the luxury of some type of tractor is a much better investment in the long run than some of the other he lists. A large portion of the enjoyment of this type of luxury is the looking and fact-finding before you buy. I really like the Kubota line (and can't really go wrong) but I don't own one. Take the time and enjoy this aspect of this
