I have a NH T2210 with FEL (240TL) (146 hours) that has had problems with bucket leak down while operating the tractor at working rpms. It only affects the bucket, which if held in the fully curled position, after 20 minutes will have un-curled (dumped) by about 3-4 inches. This occurs loaded (manure or rocks) or empty. Much more noticable (may occur quicker) when going over rougher terrian. I had the tractor back to the dealer for some other issues and they "made some adjustments" to the FEL. That seemed to help for a day or 2, but within a total of 10 hours of operating the tractor, it seems to be back to where I started.<br>

It does not necessarily affect the functioning of the tractor--although it is annoying to have to curl the bucket full of manure so it does not drop out all over. The dealer spoke to NH and was told that there is "normal/tolerable leak down." This being my first tractor, I do not know what is "right" but I would think that operating the tractor at 2400rpm, that bucket should not move.<br>

Any thoughts? What information can I take back to the dealer that may help solve this issue for me?<br>

Does anyone know the specs of this bearing I'm trying to replace, meaning ALL the information I'd need to supply a bearing manufacturer to be able to get the exact replacement? I HATE cub cadet parts availability ... I've been waiting for this to become available and it's been on backorder for 5 months. CC is know saying it won't be available "approximately" until 03/25.

My mechanic damaged the bearing when he was extracting it and we can't make out the number on it, therefore I can't get the info I need from the bearing itself.

All true cat 1 hitches are good on the rear three point hitch with full movement and yes!!!

The mower will still work underneath with out removing brackets like on some makes. It is tight but I believe it is still with maximum lift.

Come to think of it, if you want to GRADE the surface (as opposed to transport the material), forgot the name but I've seen a tow-behind wheeled blade. It supposedly converts a tow vehicle into a poor man's grader. I think you can adjust the blade on the fly from the seat.

That rig solves the problem of the blade's changing height and angle as the tractor moves over uneven ground. If you attached wings at the blade end(s), you could turn the poor-man's grader into a poor-man's box-blade.

I know this is an old post... however, do you have a photo of the 715 and your 1210? I'm thinking of picking up a 1210 and wonder how the 715 mounts... front or back.

Thanks for the feedback. I have not had time to mess with it yet, but will keep you posted on results. I do not use the higher gears very much at all. . . ie, the lack of use is probably the issue.

RC, my guess is the splitter does not have a valve on it and is set up for you to use the one on the tractor. To me there is advantage of this as it moves you away from the action just in case something happens. There is also a disadvantage in this as it moves you away from the log causing a good bit of walking.

The biggest arguements against splitter on the 3 pth I can remember is prevents pulling trailer also, tractor is expensive for use as EW pointed out. But it allows you ability to move the splitter to the wood I think best of any thing.

As to loaning out tools...with some people there is no pleasant way. Over the years I have been very blessed in this for have loaned a lot and have borrowed a lot.

Frank, since the guy has a machine your bucket fits on then his will fit on yours, right? So when he ask to borrow your's (if you get it back) then why not say, by the way I sure could use your bigger bucket. Just bring it and you can borrow my little one.

Of course the best method if they are not someone who will care for and treat you the same...I will be glad to help with that. I will get with you on when I can. Again borrowing and loaning has worked well for me. Other than the repairs on my brothers equipment I end up making! LOL

That is normal for the petal to get harder when under load. This is a mechanical linkage so you will get some feed back.

The cruise lever, I'd check to see if the lever could be tightened at the pivot for more resistance.

this may or may pertain to your tractor....but i have a john deere that did the same thing, and it turned out ot be the fuse to the fuel pump. it was burnt out. the tractor turned over, but no go. after i replaced that.....bamo it started right up

I have the same tractor with the same issue; the electric clutch just will not engage slowly like a manually operated clutch.

I have found that by engaging the PTO ONLY when the engine is at an idle will just about completely eliminate the shear pin shearing. It will still engage with a bit of a "bang".

The electric clutch is nice, but John Deere would do well to redesign it to eliminate the harshness during engagement.

I know at least on automotive (older Ford dump trucks) there is a dropping resistor located on or near the instrument panel that only sends 5 volts to the fuel level system. Perhaps if the CUT has a similar scheme that resistor is bad. Just guessing.

I don't know Kubotas but they are the Toyotas of tractors, meaning probably no trouble spots. If you could learn who the previous owner was, you could ask him. If it was bought new from that dealer, you could ask to go over its service records.
