Kubota 2004 B7800

Page << Prior 1 | [ 2 ] | 3 | 4 Next >>

The Kubota B7800 has a none adjustable steering column, the controls and guages are clearly visble to the operator. The clutch pedal is positioned on the left side while the brakes and HST pedals are on the right side. Th B series tractors have a toe heal forward reverse pedals. With the "Flatest" operators panel in the industry makes backing up easy as you can swivel in the seat while easily putting your heal on the reverse pedal. Many may find the postioning of turning brakes next to the HST pedals somewhat less desireable. Since the Operators panel is so flat it might be possible to put one foot on the HST and the other on the Turning brake at the same time. One other small thing that can be a problem with the brake position is on a steep grade where you can get some slippage as you take have to take your foot off the HST and then on the brake to stop the tractor.

The loader joystick is positioned to the right of the steering column and stays on the tractor when the loader is removed, staying on the tractor is a good thing. New Holland tractors also feature the same joystick position. John Deere 4XXX tractors on the other hand position the joystick on the right side of the operators seat cushion. The Deere position is great if you do not use the loader often, I also felt it could be accidentally hit getting on and of the machine. I sure you can get used to either approach.

As you can see in the photo below the loader hydraulic lines are easy to attach and detach right up at the back of the joystick control. This line arrangement is different than on the Deere 4000 series tractors where the lines very neatly routed low on the Tractor and terminate right below the operators seat. The Deere gets and "A" for neatness here, however I would rate the Kubota "A" for ease in attaching the lines.
