Does anyone know where I can get a hold of the hooks to weld onto a bucket for accepting a set of bucket forks? I am looking at this as the lowest cost option to have a set of forks for my 410 loader on my 4100. Has anyone out there tried bucket forks? and if so, is the bucket stout enough to handle average loads without abuse? Or does anyone have an idea that would be cheaper?

Craig I built a set of forklift forks for my compact about a year ago. I built a set of forks onto a frame that hangs from my bucket. At the top of the frame there is a piece of 2" steel box tubing with 1" pipe on each end. I built two very strong hooks and welded them on the sides of my bucket up high. I built hooks big enough to accomadate the pipe, not chain hooks. The pipe ends rest in the hooks. It has it's advantages and disadvantages. Advantage: I can attach my forks without removing my bucket. Disadvantage: As of right now if I tilt my forks to roll the load off the forks, the forks just sway instead of staying with the bucket. I am working on that part though. With this setup I have picked up about 800lbs. ....
