I'm not into MM to much but I would believe they should be. All most all of the row crop tractors are adjustable. There should be two big bolts clamping the hub to the axle. Some of the tractors had rim locks you could loosen and turn the rim on the hub to adjust. ....

Don't you have an axle sticking out? Look for the bolts that go in and loosen, he-he! they might be a little rusty. ....

Even if you get the wheels moved in..... how much does that big boy weigh?

I have seen some of those big ag monsters from that era weigh 8000 pounds on the hoof. ....

If it does have hubs that adjust on the axles, I guess the trailer doesn't have sides that are higher than the axles. I did hear a story once where the ends of axles on a tractor were cut off apparently to get the tractor in a trailer or truck bed. Seems like a real bad idea.

Sounds like a wider trailer would be better although it's not uncommon around here to see heavy equipment on flatbeds with half the tires off the trailer. They are very wide tires though. Guess you'd want to be very certain the chains couldn't slack, and tie down those binders or use the new type. ....

yesterday a mechanic friend of mine suggested that i hose down the bolts on the axles with wd40 and attempt to adjust them the day after. The tractor is sitting on the sellers property and i need to move it pronto... ....

Hope it works but WD-40 has let me down in a number of similar situations. Sometimes I've just started off with a torch when an area can be heated. Saves an overnight wait too. Too enthusiasm with a breaker-bar might produce a real mess. I wonder when you might start getting into wide-load issues in your area? If you have to get a trailer, getting a wider one might be a solution. I'd sure price having the transportation done--especially if a trailer to do the job wouldn't have much on-going use. ....

Tony, I have a MM 5Star which is same basic tractor, but mine is older, swoopier styling and less power. Assuming we are talking rowcrop (I don't recall how standard tread are set up), the wheels can theoretically be moved on the axles and there are additional choices by reversing the centers, etc. I think you are underestimating weight, memory is mine weighs about 8000 which includes a pair of big wheel weights. ....

upon further inspection I did notice that the tractor has
rim (wheel) locks that will adjust the tread in and the axles appear to be adjustable as . Im seriously hoping i can loosen them up. As for the weight Im not sure but it sure looks heavy. my present problem is that the front axle is off.
the right spindle (kingpin)is broken and Im having a hard time moving the tractor around. any suggestions anyone? ....

I assume it is a wide front end? If so jack the right (broken) side up as high as it will go. Use a hard wood block on the left side between the frame and the axle try to fill as much space as you can. It will get you loaded. Block up the right side to transport.

Good Luck Harvey ....
