Can anyone tell me if you can get a backhoe for the MF gc2300 or do you have to buy the gc2310? The specs for the MF2375 backhoe list the 2310 only.
I don't need the backhoe at this time but I don't want to limit my options for the future.
(i was set to buy the kubota bx2230, until the dealer told me they didn't make a BH for it - they want you to buy the bx23)

You must buy the GC2310 to get the backhoe. Main reason being that the seat suspension, 3 pt lift arms and ROPS are different to accomodate the backhoe. ....

You can get a backhoe for the GC2300, but there is a significant difference between the GC2300 and the GC2310. The GC2300 requires an undercarriage subframe, and the backhoe for the GC2300 actually has slightly better specs. Massey came out with the GC2310 soon after the GC2300, and it does not have a subframe. The GC2310's backhoe is easier to mount/unmount. ....

In the case of the Kubota, it takes about 200 pounds of extra steel on the frame to accommodate the backhoe, hence the different model number.

I would suspect the GC is in the same boat. ....

Rather than a GC2310, I just purchased a GC2300 with an OEM FEL & MMM, with a Woods GB6000 BH. I liked the specs, bucket, and construction of the Woods BH better than the Massey BH.
Woods BH subframe seemed well engineered, and they definately provide a better revolving seat than the 2310. The non folding ROPS on the 2300 presents no problem with the Woods BH unit. Other than that the base tractors are identical so I would say you can now always add BH later to most CUT tractors. ....

I am currently looking at a Woods BH for my 2300. I was also looking at the 2310 but decided I didn't really want to pay for a backhoe right then (almost a year ago). I visited the dealer this weekend and he told me they would install it including a subframe. I am kicking it around right now and determining how to justify to my SO. ....

Is $6000 easier now than $ 3500 was back then?

You are in exactly the same situation now that I didn't want to find my self in later after getting a tractor.

Am I glad I got the BH with the tractor? You bet your sweet petunia!
As of today I have all but 300 dollars of it paid for.
I would hate to think of starting payments on a $6000 tab today!

Actually, the woods BH is $4500(including installation) and according to my dealer it is a better BH than what comes on the 2310 (my dealer informed the massey rep on this and he reluctantly agreed).

So the question: Is $4500 for a better pc of equipment easier to handle now than $3500 a year ago. I guess in my case I might have to say yes. ....
