OK I have one more question about my B2150, it's the clutch. My problem is that I have to depress the clutch pedal all the way down to change gears and I still get a little grinding. Is this normal or am I doing damage. Is there any adjustment in the linkage or is it just worn out and need replacing.

also check the top bolts on the bellhousing. They are under the fuel tank behind the tank mount. It they happen to work loose it affects the clutch. They go throught the mounting plate and in to the back of the motor.
If you looik under the tractor there should be a cut out that you can see how you relase shaft is moving check that the little returen spring is good Make sure you grease gun the zert so that assembly slides easy Also get in the habit of putting the tractor in 1 gear then moving to the higher gears till you get it figured out ....

To not be able to move the petal from side to side is good, it tells us you don't have a lot of hours. I do feel you need the clutch adjusted as it should not be on either end of the clutch travel. ....

OK perhaps I'm confused you say side to side I thought you meant forward and back. The tractor has 1900 hrs. but I'm the second owner so I don't know if the clutch was ever changed or adjusted. ....

OK here is what I have. If I have the PTO lever engaged I have to have it all the way depressed(pedal forward)and if I let it out even a little bit it engages the PTO. When I want to engage the transmission I again have to depress the pedal all the way, but still get a grinding sound prior to engagement and then I have to let the cluth pedal out most of the way to engage the cluthch. I have however never felt the clutch slip. Hope this makes sense. ....

What you have is called a two stage clutch. the first stage disengages the trans which is the stage that needs adjusted. The second is for the PTO which how you described it it is working properly. Adjusted correctly you should be able to push the clutch about half way in to stop the tractor put keep the PTO engaged. At that point you should be able to make gear changes as well.

Hopefully some one else might be able to explain it better as I am not that good at transferring what I am thinking in to typed words. ....

Thanks for the feed back. Now if someone can tell me how to adjust the cluthch I'm Golden. Do you think that 1900 hours is a lot, it has used with a belly mower only, but now I have a FEL, BBL, PHD and BHog. This has been the best investment of my life bar none. Thanks for all the help ....
