Chevron Delo - 15W-40 and 30, 40, 50 in the Dino
0W-30 and 5W-40 synthetic
Exxon Mobil Delvac - 1300 - Super 10W-30 and 15W-40 straight weights in Dino
5W-40 in Delvac 1 synthetic
Shell Rotella T - 15W-40, 10W-30,10,20,30,40,50 in Dino
Rotella T Synthetic - 5W-40
Rotella Synthetic Blend - 0W-30, 10W-30 and 10W-40
These are the three big oil suppliers for diesel oils.
It might be best to switch to an synthetic for the winter as the multiweights are lighter at the cold temperatures. Note Chevron does not have the lighter oil. You need to look at the tech sheets. Some of the lighter oils are not approved in the dino and the blends for all engines. Another reason to just switch to the synthetic. ....

Temperature extremes here in Western Kentucky are rarely over 100F in the summer and seldom below zero in the winter. Tractor manufacturer recommends 30W when the temps are above 32F, 20W when below. No mention of 10W at all. But I've encountered no known problems running 15W40 (non-synthetic) year round.

Deere makes multi weight diesel oils that you can run all year and believe it or not, they are priced very competitively.
These oils are designed for farm tractors that run at full RPM/power all the time. Most other diesel oils are designed for the trucking industry where the constant power levels are less than half of the max.
I just stocked up on the 0W-40 full synthetic. I am going to try it in my gas engines too. ....

If you look through the approval lists on spec sheets the oils as DR stated are not all grades are approved for all engines. Deere is a good option if the price is right, but not always available in all locations. If the oil is approved for CAT and other power plants used in industrial applications though it is not much difference in application the Deere approved oil. Remember that CAT produces much more expensive engines than Deere. If you purchase a $50,000 power plant for your boat or D9 dozer you have to have the technician there when you first start the engine in the boat under waranty. You will find most of the constant power applications are using straight weight oils. In a CUT the starting and stopping of the engine shortens the life as much as anything. The Lucas/Deere synthetic RD is using is probably a good option. Once I use up my stock, I am going to also look at this option locally. ....

I didn't buy the Deere Synthetic from the local tractor dealer.
Instead I went to the big Yellow Deere construction machine dealer. When I made the comment that the Ag dealer charged a lot more for the oil than they did, the guy at the counter said, "That's because they buy it from us".
He was also able to order all the correct filters for my engine and HST and sold me some HyGard considerably cheaper than the Ag dealer. ....
