Hi guys, I called my local dealer for a price on a ground breaker x for my bx2200 ,got a price of $4800.00 +tax, this price was for a 12" bucket, the 6'hoe in kubota orange, and the mounting kit, not installed (I can Install it myself )is this a good price ??

I'm not familiar with the bx tractors, but does your tractor have rear hydraulic couplings? If so, installation will be much easier - if not, it'll be a bit harder.
Assuming the ground breaker model you are talking about is a sub-frame mount, you'll most likely have to install some hardware under your tractor the subframe mounting. If you currently use your BX for mowing, you'll significantly increase your change-over time, as you'll most likely have to remove those subframe brackets to re-install your mower.
As for price, if you think it's great, then buy it... My 46 BH from JD was around 6,000 installed. ....

I know from what Ive read on here the hook ups are already there and you can have all accessories , loader, belly mower and backhoe on the tractor at the same time, just tring to see if thats a good or not so good price! , thanks , Craig. ....

I've been thinking of getting one for my BX2230 (even though I know the ROPS isn't properly sized for it, so don't bother reminding me of that, please). The best price I've found is $4,200, and they said they would 'help' with the install. Not really sure what that means, but I would likely do it myself, since I enjoy that sort of thing. It may end up being an early Christmas present to myself since my septic field needs work (please don't let the township know!!) and this would be the right tool for that job.
I've heard the price really moves around alot by region, just like the price of the tractor, so your price might be great for your region. Only more calls will tell you that.

Oops, I forgot to mention in my previous post, that the dealer that gave me the $4200 price is by far the lowest cost dealer in the area. They undercut the price for my tractor by almost $2,000. When I took that number to my local dealer, about 8 miles from home, they came within $500. It was worth it to me to not have to drive 45 miles, but for the hoe, I may do the drive. The local dealer said around $5000 for the hoe.

Hi just following up on the backhoe , taking my time , following the directions, making sure everything was tightened to spec. by the book ,everything fit very well , install took 6 hours , it took awhile to get used to how it works , (having never worked one of these things) but after I sort of got the hang of things it works real well ! overall very pleased , the only problem I have is I dont have anything that needs to be dug up at this time , projects that I needed it for are all finished :( , oh well ! , Craig. ....
