What do you think about the advantages / disadvantages going from 2210 to 4115? Going from one to the other with (FEL 210 to 410), (MMM 62" to 60" but heavier duty)they are saying 8000 more Diference.
2210 has 28 hours on it. I like the 3 point on the 4115 better, but 2210 has been nice. I am taking a loss on the 2210 from what I payed (expected) new Vs now used. The 4115 is $14400 plus implements.

It just depends on what you need to do with the tractor. Your 2210 is much easier to handle and maneuver while mowing and trimmming. The 2210 does not have several of the "deluxe" features like position control on the 3PH, folding ROPS, and a comfy seat. The larger wheels, HP, weight, and hydraulics of the 4115 are its advantages. Both decks are top notch. If I had wide open mowing and backhoe work, I think I'd have the 4115 or a 4310. I am moving up to a 4110 from a 2210 and I could not quite justify the extra $2,000+ for the 4115 over the 4110. For me, with all of the mowing I do, it was the much smaller turning radius of the 4110 that sealed the deal. I just wish they woud drop the 4115's engine in a 4110 chassis :-] ....

You'll have to weigh the financial loss from selling your 2210 against the potential performance gains of acquiring the 4115. As bigpete mentioned it really depends on what you intend to do with the machine for the majority of it's use. I agree that the 2210 may make for a little better mowing machine due to manuverability. I wouldn't think you should have to take too much of a bath on selling your 2210 with only 28 hours on it. Especially when you consider that some dealers are still having a tough time getting their hands on a new one. ....

I plan on the years that I will have it to use the 3PT more with time. When I was trying to do some rear blade work last fall it was not easy with the way the 2210 works Vs the 4115, plus the little more height that you get with the 4115. I don't think I can use a post hole digger on the 2210, and think I may want to do that in the years to come.
I paid 13458 for my 2210 with FEL, MMM, and they want to give me 11417, but dealer will pick up cost on some attachment pices that change from the 2210 to the 4115 along with rear light, load leveler, R4 tires.
I have 5 acres and I just think in the long run the 4115 will fit needs better then the 2210 esp in the 3PT area. I don't think my wife agrees to much yet. ....

Buy it! The trade will never be what you think it should. The only way around that is to sell it outright. My apologies to your better half, but I'm sure you'll get her on board. It took mine a while to see the light, but I think she just figures that a middle-aged husband with expensive outdoor power equipment is better than a middle-aged husband with other expensive "extracurricular" vices. ....

Or how about a middle aged husband with a stack of orthopedic surgery bills?

I, for one, can't work like I used too and maybe never could work like I thought I could.

I have had both shoulders and one knee "tuned up" and if my little Green tractor keeps my bones off the operating table it will be worth all I paid for it.

BTW, you won't even miss the 2210 once you get a couple of hours of seat time on the 4115. It is a marvelous machine. ....

Mark I was reading somewhere that the 4115 is a little under powered in high range. I was surprise when I read that. I have only drove one in the dealer parking lot so hard to tell from that. Weight Vs HP I thought 4115 is a good machine. The next step some friends are telling me would be the 4310 because the 4210 is under powered for the weight the dealer even said that to me because I was considering that machine also. Mark I see you have a 4115 do you think it is sluggish in high range? ....

I think it would be more accurate to say that it is a little slow in low range and would be the ideal candidate for a three range transmission.

I have a somewhat steep gravel driveway and I live nearly a mile above sea level. The driveway averages an 80 foot rise over a 600 foot span. When we had occasion to call for a fire truck, it stalled halfway up and they had to find their double compound granny to get up to the house.

The 4115 with backhoe and FEL attached (plus 300# in wheel weights and another 285# in overgrown german farmboy) will climb the same driveway in high gear at about 70-80 percent of top road speed.

There are two choices: If I cram the pedal to the floor, the RPM's drop to around 2000 or less, and it will labor up the drive at 8 mph.

If I back off on the "go" pedal, I can keep the RPM's at 2600+ and do the same 8 mph up the drive. This is clearly the better way to operate the tractor. So some of what you hear may have something to do with lack of understanding as to how an HST works.

I also have put about 60 miles on the tractor "roading" it to small jobs around town. On hills that would force me to walk my bicycle, the 4115 maybe loses 150 RPM's and the road speed drops from 13 mph to 11.8 for a minute or so. But by no stretch of the imagination is it working hard. BTW..... at 42 hours it is nowhere near broken in yet.

Hope this helps. ....

Well made the change they are picking up my new 4115 today, may get it to the house on Monday. Change things over from my 2210 and they will take it back. Someone will get a nice 2210 for a good price Vs new. I guess one year less warranty though. ....

The new machine (4115) came in yesterday, had the day off so stopped by to see it. Other then road salt from riding on a trailer (They picked up from another dealer) looked good sounded good. The dealer is coming out tonight to get some of the things that switch over from the 2210. I should have it at the house by the weekend. I broke the news to my wife last night first thing she said was "so I can get my new sewing machine". The sewing machine she wants will cost as much as I am paying in the difference between the 2210 and the 4115. The mower deck is really heavy duty, be a while before I can use that though. ....
