I changed the hydraulic oil on my BX 1830 2005 tractor and I forgot to clean the oil strainer at the 50 hour service. Is this a major problem, what can happen by not checking the strainer? Is it ok to run it like that until the next hydraulic oil change at 100hrs?

Mitch; If you plan to change the fluid at 100 hrs. I wouldn't worry about it. About all I've ever found in the strainer of a new tractor is a few metal chips and some small pieces of gasket thet didn't get completely flushed at the factory. We would likely be shocked to know how many screens that have never been cleaned. Frank. ....

I only changed the filters and fluid, I could not get enough leverage on it, and would of had to remove the wheel to get at it better, decided to leave well enough alone instead, and only look into it if I have a hydraulic problem. ....

I wouldn't go much past 200 hours without pulling it out. I did mine at 200 and it was full of shavings and this was AFTER the 50 hour service. You need to get that stuf out of there. ....

Mario; I assume you are asking about the engine oil. If so, yes do change it, 60 hours isn't much but is still enough for acids, water, etc. to accumulate in the oil over a year's time. Follow your owners manual to the letter far as oil type and filters, don't scrimp with cheap oil or filters. Frank. ....
