They do work but why mess up a good box? A dump trailer follows all kinds of trucks for less! ....

I have a situation where maneuvering a pick up at both the loading and unloading points is a challenge therefore using a truck with a trailer stuck on the back end of it is out of the question.

You're looking for advice on dump beds and I have none to offer. But if manueverability of a dump trailer is the issue have you considered welding a hitch receiver to the top of your loader bucket and pushing the trailer around instead of trying to back it in? Maybe you could haul the trailer on the highway with your truck and move it into place with the tractor. ....

This would still involve numerous trips up and down the hill with the tractor which is exactly what I'm trying to avoid hence the purpose of using a dumping pick up truck. I don't want to run the tractor up and down the hill itself much less with a trailer connected to it. ....

The prices of such are pushing 4000. They are limited to the truck for capacity and they do work well for lighter loads as they are limited by design and they are a hydro-electric dump. ....

Here's my solution.
**********
1*
Bought a load handler for my 1986 Dodge D 50 Pick Up at Wall Mart yesterday.
Tried it out this morning.
It sure beats shoveling the dirt off of the truck.
Don't know how many BX 23 loader buckets I can haul in it at a time.
So far 3 buckets in the truck is working pretty good and it sure beats hauling one bucket down the hill at a time with the BX.
Only problem I ran into was I couldn't get back up the front yard hill after unloading the last pickup load of dirt.
Would be nice if the D 50 was a 4 wheel drive.
Didn't know the LOAD HANDLERS worked so well or I would have had one a long time ago!

2*I don't know If I'm overloading my truck or not because I don't know what A BX23 loader of dirt weighs and I don't know the empty weight of my Dodge D 50. G V W is 4045 pounds.
