I am searching for information on a Shibaura SD2843T. Mostly the specification of the motor, year built, ect. If anyone knowes the Ford or New Holland models that may have the same motor. I think the tractor is 28 horse power 3 cylinder turbo(i think), also the loader has the same serial number as the tractor, but a diffent manufacture. This is my first tractor (does it show). If anyone has information it would be greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased a SD 2803T (two wheel drive turbo). I purchased a service manual and operator's manual for a Ford 1720 from Len Shaffer (I might have misspelled his name.) I am very happy with the machine and look for many years of happy tractoring. I would be interested in the type of FEL that you have. Please post a picture of you "baby" when you can.

Thank you for the information, I will find a digital camera and post some pics. I will get more out on the FEL too. I guess the 4 in 2843 indicates it is a 4 wheel drive. Do you have any idea what years these models were made. I also have a coworker with friends in japan, I asked if he would send a picture of the spec. plate and get a translation and maybe information from the manufacturer.

Andy,
I don't know much about the year(s) these tractors were made but I'd be more than interested in any information you get. Len Sheaffer (you'll see posts by him on this site) and Buck Bond (www.efcconstruction.com) seems to know a lot about these tractors and they don't mind sharing their knowledge with us novices.
