My 1210 stopped pulling. I know don't know much about the drive unit and would appreciate any input. Thanks, Scott

Well...you have to be a lot more specific--like what were doing when it happened, have you changed filters, checked fluid levels, was it making noise prior to not pulling, is the gear linkage properly adjusted, has it popped into Neutral? ....

I was cutting with the finish mower and it was running fine and it just stopped moving. The usual low whine from the unit stopped as well. Engine runs fine, the lift works norman and the PTO works. It was full of fluid and I have not changed the filter. From looking in the repair manual, I guessed that the charge pump had broken or sheared the key. We split the tractor and the pump looks fine. The key driving has some wear, but is not sheared. I really don't know where to go from here. Thanks, Scott 864-934-4393 ....

Any time you have an issue with a hdrostat drive not performing the first step should always be to clean the screen on the pickup tube, then change the filter and if it's due, the fluid also.

If that doesn't cure it check the linkage and that the pressure gauge is set and functioning correctly.

Best of luck. ....

Hopefully by now you have repaired your tractor. If not, there is a linkage within the drivetrain which has simply stripped threads and pulled apart. I went through the exact same issue. It's a P.I.A. fix, but inexpensive. If you haven't fixed it yet, and need more info, contact me. ....
