My tractor has three pto speeds. All the markings are in Japanese which I can't read. Can anyone tell me what the three different rpm settings are? I know one is 540 rpm, but at what engine rpm? Thanks, bill

It's pretty hard to tell you with out knowing what tractor you're talking about. The lowest range is usually 540 at around 80-90% full throttle. ....

Borrow a strobe tachometer, or buy one if you must, they use an adhesive disk, that's half white, half black, put the disk on the end of the pto shaft, run the tractor at 80-90% of full speed. Point the strobe at the disk and it will tell you the speed the pto is running at. The speeds you will probably find are 540 rpm, 1000 rpm , and 2000 rpm. I did this with an old 2 cyl. deere to find the throttle settings that gave me 540rpm and the 10% over/under points also. Good luck. Ken ....

Bill,

You are welcome, I hope this helps you.

I do not want to state the obvious, but for the sake of safety, I will.

The only implements designed to use the 2 higher pto speeds on your tractor are Japanese tillers. Please do not try to use American implements with anything but the 1st speed.

I am a Case IH dealer, and have been importing Japanese tractors for years.
I have the specs on almost all of these tractors. If you need filters, email David at DPEquip@aol.com. He probably can get you a filter for your tractor.

Good luck,

Jay
