The hydraulics quit working on this tractor. I drained the fluid and cleaned out the filter. It needed to be cleaned. The fluid has about 200 hours on it. while the fluid was draining some pieces of o-ring came out of the drain hole. I cleaned the filter and refilled the trans but cleaning the filter didn't correct the problem. What could be the problem and how difficult would it be to fix this problem.

If it has a loader and a diverter valve is set to the auxiliary position, I'd set it to remote (3ph only) to take the loader out of the system. If the relief valve squealing when no hydraulics are operated then it's an obstruction and the tractor shouldn't be run for long periods. If no relief valve sound is heard, I'd do the pressure test for checking relief valve pressure to see if the pump working. If there's good pressure and the diverter is in remote then a 3ph problem is likely. More about 3ph problems later if needed. ....

A simple way to check to see if your problem is before or after your pump is Loosen pressure line from pump & crank engine with fuel off. If it pumps some oil your problem may be dirt holding the reief valve open. If it doesn't pump oil , it is a pump or suction problem. ....
