Did not know that Long made a TLB. There are a good bit of Long farm tractors in my area. They seem to be dependable for their price. Based upon what little I know of them they run low capacity hyd pumps and their brakes were on the dry drum style when others were using better brakes. Again that is their farm tractors. A dealership that has sold them for years brags on the engine. They do not demand high resale but depending on how the Candian to US dollar is today that would seem to be a reasonable price. kt

If possible do a good test on the machine. Run it under load for an hour if possible. Be sure to test each cylinder for leaks and also for power. Look for leaks every where. Some parts are costly. CHeck fluids before it is cranked and then after running it looking for any signs or moisture. ....

Only input I can offer is that several farmers around here use them, have older models and say they are fine. They were cheap as well, at least comparatively so.

As for the age of the machine, I would ensure that common parts are readily available. I turned down a deal on a JCB due to no local parts and British Metric everything.

I believe the Canadian dollar is worth about the same as the US at this point. ....
