I am looking for a service/repair manual for my C144 (in english). I have the parts manual (japenese). I busted the 3pt lift handle were it enters the hydraulic case. Base on the parts manual figures it looks like replacing the short pin that enters the hydraulic case is rather involved, ergo my search for a shop manual. I have been told the MF1010 is the same as the C144. Based on the MF1010 owners manual I have they are similar but not all features are identical. I have found the MF1010 shop manual on the web for $139 and a MF repair manual for $21. Does anyone know if these manuals will work for the C144. Thanks for the help.

It really isn't all that involved. You have to remove the hydraulic lift cover. Once it is removed the pin should be accessible. I have the MF manual for quite a bit less than the internet price you quoted. ....

Would have responded earlier but the ice storm we just weathered here in SC left me w/o power for the last 3 days. I had about 40 pines come down just around the house. Not a good time for the tractor to be down. If you have a copy of the repair manual at a lesser cost that would be great. I would like to get an idea of what I'm taking apart. Before Monday my 3-pt hitch worked fine it was just difficult to operate by turning the two lock nuts on the side of the hydraulic cover. The morning of the ice storm the 3pt hydraulics just stopped working. Don't no if its just bad timing or the broken lift lever somehow caused the problem. You can contact me directly via my email on the repair manual and if you have any ideas on why the 3-pt hydraulics would just go out when they were working one evening and the next morning nada, it would be appreciated. Thxs. ....
