Anyone have an idea on getting a fuel cut off lever to move on this tractor. It moves between 1/8 1/16 inch but won't move to the 90' to the block that the manual shows to cut off fuel.
The lever looks to be a white metal and I am afraid to put too much pressure on it and cause it to break. Anyone have any suggestions on what to try to move the lever, otherwise I have to wait until the fuel tank is almost empty to change the fuel filter. If I use this method, I will have to bleed the fuel lines to remove any air.
No big deal, but I like everything to work the way it was designed to work.

I'd be thinking of replacing it. The one in my Ford parts manual looks like its not intended to be repairable (at least no internal parts are diagrammed). That doesn't necessarily mean that it can't be taken apart and cleaned but I'd have to look at my valve to see if it looks like it comes apart.
Avoiding forcing the level is a very good idea, and it does sound like the valve should be removed and inspected and cleaned. I'm assuming that it is removable from the tank. Many of piping fittings on tractors are fairly generic so there's a good chance a part could be adapted.
